The 'commercial' real estate disaster is not over with yet.
But those individuals who have homes and apartments for rent should do O.K. to rent to those people who can't afford to buy a home. It makes a lot more sense to rent anyway. All you have to pay is the rent while the landlord has to make the payments, buy the insurance, pay the taxes and pay for managers and upkeep. But even they might come out O.K. as long as housing prices do not fall too much in their own area.
