...with the global economy right now? In two words: 'Government Intervention.' Government Intervention is simply governments all over the world, whether it is dictatorships, leftist governments, religious radical governments and, YES, even democracies, all of them are trying to replace the 'will of the people' and the 'free markets' to control, control, control everything they possible can.
And they all are going to fail, every last one of them, because it is impossible for any single force to control millions of people, all over this world, who just want to be free to run their own lives and business as they see fit. All of these governments are sick with a disease call "Control-freak-itis".
